Chipata Girls FC

Our girls

The team is the thing that won’t let her disappear.

Over 100 girls train with us every week. Every one of them has a place, a position, and a season ahead of her — and every place on this team is tied to staying in school.

Players in club kit crowd around their coach in a doorway at the ground, arms around each other, everyone grinning.
The squad grouped together on a grass pitch under a wide sky, laughing and posing for the camera after training.

What a place on this team means

  • Belonging

Every girl in the shirt is one of ours — counted on, expected, and missed when she’s gone.

  • School is the point

A place on the team is tied to staying in school. If we ever had to choose between a win and a girl’s education, the education wins.

  • The safety net

When a girl stops showing up, someone goes to find out why — before a missed week becomes something worse.

  • Joy

It is football. It is meant to be the best part of the week. The mission never crowds out the fun.

The roster

Girls with names, positions, and a season ahead of them.

The squad list is coming. We publish a player’s name, face, or story only with recorded consent from her and her guardian, and consent can be withdrawn at any time. That gate is built into this page: profiles appear here as those releases are recorded, one girl at a time, and never before. Read the safeguarding note.

Keep one of them in school this year.

$30 keeps one girl in school for a month. $360 covers her whole school year. Four funds, every line costed — you pick which one your gift goes to.
